In June 2009 UNM Press published twenty three of the essays in a volume titled Religion as Art, Guadalupe, Orishas, and Sufi. The first essay by Historian Francisco Miranda Godínez quotes from the beautiful poem Nican Mopohu, and the last footnote in the final essay by law professor Timothy A. Canova quotes from Barak Obama’s Presidential nomination acceptance speech, August 28, 2008. In between are articles concerning Orishas and Sufi.
